Presley achieved his CH status at the age of 12 mo., having only been beaten to the youngest CH for Snowshoe by his MOTHER, at 11 mo. old. Too young to be a special at the time, we placed Presley with friend Jack Stevens to see if he could do anything with him in the obedience ring or the field. Amazingly, Presley obtained his JH, WC and CD titles within the next near, soon followed by his SH in 2004, CDX in 2005, and MH, WCX and UD all in 2006. In between all of those titles and work, we managed to put him back in the show ring in the spring of 2004, and he achieved his Show Dog Hall of Fame (SDHF) within two months of showing. Presley was a once in a lifetime dog! The Nationals of 2003 were truly Presley's debut... He achieved his JH on a Saturday, spent a few days in 'coat training' getting bathed and ready to be shown in the conformation ring again, after 14 months of absence. On that next Friday, he appeared in the Stud Dog class with his sire, Merlin, whereby they won a 2nd place. He appeared on his own, along with his kids Desi and Lucy, whereby they won a 3rd place. The next day, he appeared in the Best of Breed ring and won a Judge's Award of Merit, out of an entry class of 160 specials! If that wasn't enough, he went back to the field/pond the next day, and achieved his Working Certificate (WC). All of this, at only age TWO. Presley was the youngest and only one of three goldens in the history of the breed to be a CH, SHDF and a Master Hunter! Presley stamped his mark on his breedings, showcasing his fabulous headpiece, sidegait and true and correct golden temperament. He has produced multiple kids that are exhibiting in obedience and field events, and has many progeny to date with various hunt titles. This incredibly special, one-in-a-million boy left us just weeks shy of turning 13 in late May of 2014. His legacy lives on in his many kids, grandkids and great grandkids.
